Privacy Policy
Verso is a Safari web extension that lets you open EPUB books you choose. This policy explains what data is stored and how it is used.
What data is stored
On this device only (Safari IndexedDB and extension storage):
- EPUB files you add
- Reading progress and location
- Highlights, bookmarks, and notes you create
- Preferences such as theme, font size, layout, and library sort
Verso does not require an account, does not collect analytics, and does not access the websites you browse in Safari.
How data is used
Local data is used only to show your library, resume reading, and restore your preferences on this device. It is not uploaded to a server operated by the publisher.
Sharing with third parties
Verso does not sell, share, or transmit your library or reading data to third parties. There are no advertising or analytics SDKs in this extension.
Retention
Data remains on this device until you delete individual books, clear the library in Settings, or uninstall the extension (which removes extension storage for this app).
Deleting your data
- Delete a book from the library (removes that book and its annotations)
- Use Settings → Clear local library to erase all books and notes
- Disable or uninstall Verso in Safari → Settings → Extensions
Permissions
Verso requests the storage permission so preferences and library metadata can
persist. It does not request host access to websites.
Children’s privacy
Verso is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
